3G SMAW/FCAW Welders – Full-Time Position

Job Overview

This full-time role is ideal for welders with 1-3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks using Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) techniques, adhering to strict industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform 3G SMAW and FCAW welding tasks on structural components, pipelines, and equipment in compliance with project specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, welding diagrams, and engineering drawings to ensure precise execution.
• Conduct pre-weld preparations, including cleaning, grinding, and material alignment.
• Inspect welds for defects, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools efficiently.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams to meet project deadlines.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
• Document work progress and report any issues to supervisors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in 3G SMAW and FCAW welding techniques.
• Strong understanding of welding codes and industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with welding inspection and quality control.
• Familiarity with welding safety protocols.

Education & Experience:

• Diploma or Graduation in Welding Technology or a related field.
• 1-3 years of hands-on welding experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Certification in SMAW/FCAW welding (preferred but not mandatory).
