Job Summary

Key Responsibilities & Duties

As our Aluminium Works Supervisor, you will be the on-site leader responsible for the entire lifecycle of aluminium-based construction projects. Your duties will encompass technical oversight, team management, and client liaison.

Project Supervision & Management

• Oversee all on-site aluminium fabrication, installation, and glazing operations to ensure adherence to project specifications, architectural drawings, and safety protocols.
• Plan and delegate daily tasks to a team of fabricators, installers, and technicians, ensuring optimal productivity and efficient use of manpower.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and blueprints for aluminium windows, doors, curtain walls, and structural glazing systems.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, main contractors, and other trades (e.g., MEP, civil) to ensure seamless integration of aluminium works into the overall construction schedule.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to verify that all aluminium installations meet industry standards for fit, finish, and performance.

Team Leadership & Workshop Coordination

• Lead, mentor, and train a team of aluminium technicians and helpers, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Manage the aluminium fabrication workshop, overseeing processes like cutting, machining, welding, and assembly of aluminium profiles and systems.
• Monitor inventory levels of aluminium extrusions, glass panels, gaskets, hardware, and other critical materials, placing orders as needed to avoid project delays.
• Ensure all workshop and site equipment, including CNC machines, glass lifting equipment, and power tools, are maintained in safe working condition.
• Enforce strict compliance with company policies, UAE health and safety regulations (e.g., PPE, work-at-height protocols), and environmental guidelines.

Quality Assurance & Client Relations

• Implement rigorous quality control procedures for all aluminium products and installations, addressing any defects or non-conformities immediately.
• Prepare and submit daily progress reports, site documentation, and material requisition forms to the project management team.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and consultants on site, addressing their queries and ensuring their satisfaction with the workmanship.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to aluminium system design, water tightness, thermal efficiency, and structural integrity.
• Ensure all completed works are thoroughly inspected and handed over as per the agreed-upon snag-free criteria.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this aluminium supervisory role, you must possess a combination of formal education, extensive practical experience, and strong leadership qualities.

Education & Experience

• Minimum education of Higher Secondary (12th standard) is required; a diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a significant advantage.
• A minimum of 5-10 years
• In-depth, hands-on experience with various aluminium systems (e.g., Schüco, Reynaers, Technal) for windows, doors, sliding systems, and unitized curtain walls.
• Demonstrable experience working on large-scale high-rise, commercial, or luxury villa projects from start to finish.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Expert-level knowledge of aluminium fabrication techniques, finishing processes (anodizing, powder coating), and installation methodologies.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong understanding of relevant UAE building codes, standards, and health and safety regulations.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and communication (e.g., MS Word, Excel, email).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
