AOV/MOV Valve Supervisors – Nuclear Energy Sector

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced AOV/MOV Valve Supervisor to join our Mechanical Engineering Department in the Nuclear Energy and Power Generation sector. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience in supervising the installation, maintenance, and testing of Air-Operated Valves (AOVs) and Motor-Operated Valves (MOVs) within high-risk environments.

This role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and offers a competitive salary package of 30+ LPA. Candidates must possess a Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with strong leadership and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise Valve Operations: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and testing of AOVs and MOVs in compliance with nuclear safety standards.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational efficiency.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections to ensure valves meet industry and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve valve-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous plant operation.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Compliance: Ensure all procedures align with UAE and international nuclear safety regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams to optimize valve performance and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in AOV/MOV valve supervision within the nuclear or power generation industry.
• Strong knowledge of valve types, actuator systems, and control mechanisms.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, ANSI, API) and nuclear safety protocols.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Problem-solving aptitude with a focus on operational efficiency.

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in valve supervision, preferably in nuclear or high-risk industrial settings.
• Certifications in valve maintenance or nuclear safety are a plus.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role involves working in a high-security nuclear facility with strict safety protocols. Candidates must be prepared for:
