Key Responsibilities
As an Arabic Cook (Offshore), your primary duties will include:
- Preparing authentic Arabic dishes while maintaining high culinary standards.
- Managing kitchen operations, including ingredient procurement and inventory control.
- Ensuring food safety and hygiene compliance in accordance with local regulations.
- Collaborating with the culinary team to develop seasonal menus and special dishes.
- Training junior kitchen staff in Arabic cooking techniques and best practices.
- Adapting recipes to accommodate dietary preferences and guest requests.
- Maintaining kitchen equipment and reporting maintenance issues promptly.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in multi-cuisine cooking, with a focus on Arabic cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of traditional Arabic ingredients, spices, and cooking methods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure offshore kitchen environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience as an Arabic Cook in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Higher Secondary education or equivalent culinary certification.
- Experience working in offshore or remote locations is a plus.
Work Environment
This role is based offshore in Qatar, specifically in The Pearl, Doha. The position requires working in a dynamic kitchen environment with long hours, including weekends and holidays. Candidates must be comfortable living and working in an offshore setting.
