Job Description: Area Coordinator (Electrical / I&C)

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Area Coordinator (Electrical / I&C) to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This is a full-time position within the Nuclear Energy sector, offering a competitive salary package of 30+ LPA. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation & control (I&C) coordination, preferably in power generation or related industries.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Management

• Coordinate all electrical and I&C activities within assigned project areas
• Ensure seamless integration between electrical systems and instrumentation controls
• Monitor project timelines and ensure adherence to schedules
• Facilitate communication between engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders

Technical Oversight

• Review and approve electrical and I&C design documentation
• Verify compliance with nuclear safety standards and regulations
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues
• Participate in design reviews and technical meetings

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Implement and maintain quality control procedures for electrical/I&C installations
• Ensure all work complies with nuclear industry standards (IAEA, WANO, etc.)
• Conduct field inspections and audits of electrical systems
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for regulatory compliance

Requirements

Education & Certification

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Certifications in nuclear safety or power plant operations preferred
• Professional engineering certification (PE or equivalent) is a plus

Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in electrical/I&C coordination
• Proven track record in nuclear power generation or similar high-hazard industries
• Experience with power distribution systems, protective relays, and control systems
• Familiarity with nuclear plant electrical systems (Class 1E, safety-related systems)

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IEEE, NEC, IEC)
• Proficiency in instrumentation and control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA)
• Understanding of nuclear safety systems and redundancy requirements
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs

Soft Skills

• Excellent coordination and project management abilities
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication across technical and non-technical teams
• Leadership capabilities to guide multidisciplinary teams

Work Environment

The position is based in Abu Dhabi City, UAE, and requires on-site presence at nuclear power generation facilities. The role involves:
