Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Technician (PVC Cables) to support cable manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in cable production, a strong understanding of PVC cable manufacturing processes, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the production and testing of PVC cables according to industry standards.
• Operate and maintain cable extrusion machines, wire drawing equipment, and other production tools.
• Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshoot minor technical issues and perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers to optimize production processes.
• Document production data, including measurements, defects, and output rates.
• Assist in inventory management of raw materials and finished goods.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

• Diploma or Graduation in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in PVC cable manufacturing or a similar production environment.
• Familiarity with extrusion machines, wire drawing, and stranding processes.
• Basic knowledge of quality control procedures in cable production.

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of industry standards (e.g., IEC, BS, ASTM) for cable manufacturing.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment adjustments and minor repairs.

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
• Good communication skills for reporting issues and updates.
