Key Responsibilities & Duties

As an Assistant Building Electrician within our Electrical Engineering department, you will be an integral part of our construction projects. Your primary focus will be on supporting the electrical team to ensure the seamless execution of all tasks. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical wiring systems, fixtures, and control devices in new and existing buildings.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, circuit diagrams, and other technical documents to determine appropriate wiring layouts and ensure precise electrical installations.
• Supporting the inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary adjustments, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.
• Performing routine maintenance on electrical systems to guarantee optimal functionality and prevent potential system failures.
• Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Installing and connecting power cables between equipment and control panels as per the project's electrical plans.

• Coordinating with other construction professionals, including engineers, foremen, and other tradespeople, to ensure project timelines are met.
