Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced AUT Specialist (Automated Ultrasonic Testing) to join our Operations team in Kuwait City, Kuwait. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in facility management and maintenance services, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
The AUT Specialist will be responsible for performing advanced ultrasonic inspections using automated techniques, ensuring structural integrity and safety compliance in various industrial settings.
Core Duties:
- Conduct Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) inspections on pipelines, pressure vessels, and other critical infrastructure.
- Interpret and analyze test results to identify defects, cracks, or inconsistencies in materials.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of testing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with international standards such as ASME, API, ISO, and AWS.
- Operate and maintain advanced ultrasonic testing equipment, including calibration and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to recommend corrective actions based on inspection findings.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on AUT/PAUT methodologies and best practices.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and company policies during inspections.
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate must possess a combination of technical expertise, analytical skills, and industry-specific knowledge.
Essential Skills:
- Extensive experience in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) and Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT).
- Proficiency in using industry-standard NDT equipment (e.g., OmniScan, FocusPX).
- Strong understanding of metallurgy, weld inspection, and defect characterization.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with ASME Section V, API 1104, and other relevant regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for report generation and team collaboration.
Education & Certifications:
- Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, NDT Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in UT Level II or III (ASNT, PCN, or equivalent).
- Additional certifications in PAUT or TOFD are highly desirable.
Experience & Industry Requirements
The candidate must have a solid background in facility management, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors.
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT).
- Proven experience in pipeline inspection, pressure vessel testing, or structural integrity assessments.
- Prior work in facility management, oil refineries, or petrochemical plants is preferred.
- Familiarity with Kuwaiti or GCC industrial standards is an advantage.
Work Environment & Conditions
This role involves both fieldwork and office-based reporting.
- On-site inspections in industrial facilities, including exposure to confined spaces and heights.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as per safety regulations.
- Occasional travel to project sites within Kuwait.
- No remote work – This is an in-person position.
