Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Al Ghubrah, Muscat, Oman. This is a full-time position in the Transportation/Logistics industry, requiring hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics. The ideal candidate will have an ITI certification and 1-3 years of experience in mechanical repairs.
As an Auto Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of our fleet, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
- Conduct thorough testing of repaired vehicles to ensure issues are resolved.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance recommendations clearly.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
- Assist in inventory management of spare parts and tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems (engine, transmission, brakes, etc.).
- Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- ITI certification in Automotive Mechanics or a related field.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience as an Auto Mechanic.
- Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is based in Al Ghubrah, Muscat, Oman, and is not remote. The role involves working in a garage or workshop setting, with exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures. Candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions and adhering to strict safety guidelines.
Standard working hours apply, but flexibility may be required for urgent repairs or extended shifts during peak periods.
