We are seeking a skilled BD Mill – Stand & Guide Assembly Fitter / Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Ghantoot, Abu Dhabi, UAE. This full-time role is critical to ensuring the precision assembly, installation, and maintenance of mill stands and guide assemblies in our production facility. Key Responsibilities
As a BD Mill – Stand & Guide Assembly Fitter / Technician, your primary duties will include:
- Assembling, installing, and aligning mill stands and guide assemblies according to engineering specifications.
- Conducting routine inspections and maintenance of assembly components to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and technical issues in mill stand and guide systems.
- Collaborating with engineering and production teams to optimize assembly processes.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.
- Operating hand and power tools as well as precision measuring instruments.
- Documenting assembly procedures, maintenance logs, and defect reports.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in technical troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of mill stand and guide assembly mechanisms.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
- Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments.
Education and Experience:
- Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in mill assembly or similar roles.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:
- Certification in mechanical fitting, assembly, or related technical fields.
- Experience with CNC machinery or automated assembly systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
Work Environment
This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Ghantoot, Abu Dhabi. The position requires:
- Standing for extended periods and lifting heavy equipment (up to 25 kg).
- Working in a noisy environment with exposure to industrial machinery.
- Adhering to strict safety guidelines, including wearing PPE.
- Flexibility to work overtime or shifts as needed.
