Key Responsibilities
As a Bench Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and maintaining mechanical equipment in line with industry standards. Your duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Assembling and fitting mechanical components with precision.
- Performing maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on machinery and equipment.
- Ensuring all fittings meet safety and quality regulations.
- Working with hand and power tools to cut, shape, and align parts.
- Inspecting finished products for defects and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborating with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot issues.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Following company policies and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this Bench Fitters position should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Education: ITI certification in Fitter Trade or equivalent.
- Experience: 5-10 years of hands-on experience in equipment fitting within the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading technical drawings, using measurement tools, and operating fitting machinery.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision and ensure high-quality fittings.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for long hours and handling heavy equipment.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and other technicians.
Work Environment
This role is based in Kuwait City, Kuwait, specifically in the Al-Faiha’ area. The position requires on-site work in an industrial setting, with exposure to machinery, tools, and occasional noise. Candidates must be prepared to adhere to strict safety protocols and wear protective gear as required.
This is not a remote position, and applicants must be willing to work full-time hours, including overtime as needed.
