Key Responsibilities
As a Blaster/Painter, you will play a critical role in surface preparation and protective coating applications within industrial environments. Your duties include:
- Performing abrasive blasting (sandblasting, grit blasting) to remove rust, old paint, and debris from metal surfaces.
- Applying high-quality protective coatings, primers, and paints to equipment, pipelines, and structural components.
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NACE, SSPC).
- Inspecting surfaces for defects and preparing them for coating application.
- Operating and maintaining blasting and painting equipment.
- Working collaboratively with construction and maintenance teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the following:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in surface preparation, blasting techniques, and industrial painting.
- Certification: ITI certification in Painting or a related field is preferred.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of workplace safety practices in hazardous environments.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in coating application to prevent corrosion and ensure durability.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work in challenging conditions (e.g., confined spaces, heights, extreme temperatures).
Note: No prior experience is mandatory for this entry-level role, but candidates with hands-on training or internships will have an advantage.
