Key Responsibilities and Daily Duties

As the Charge In Hand, you will be the go-to authority for all maintenance-related activities on our construction sites in and around Sharjah. Your role is multifaceted, demanding a blend of technical knowledge, managerial acumen, and exceptional communication skills.

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the maintenance team, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of technicians and junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Conduct regular and thorough inspections of construction equipment, machinery, and site facilities to identify and diagnose maintenance needs.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of valuable assets.
• Coordinate with the procurement department to source necessary spare parts, tools, and materials, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
• Ensure strict compliance with all company safety policies, UAE regulatory requirements, and international construction standards.
• Prepare detailed daily reports on maintenance activities, issues resolved, and resource utilization for senior management review.
• Liaise with other department heads, including project managers and engineers, to coordinate maintenance work without disrupting ongoing construction projects.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical faults, providing hands-on guidance to the team when necessary.
• Manage the maintenance budget for your assigned projects, controlling costs and avoiding unnecessary expenditures.

Education & Formal Qualifications
