Job Description: Chargehand Grout/Repair

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Chargehand Grout/Repair professional to join our construction maintenance team in Abu Dhabi. This full-time role is ideal for individuals with 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, particularly in grouting and repair tasks. The successful candidate will oversee repair operations, ensure quality workmanship, and lead a team to complete projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform grouting, patching, and repair work on various construction surfaces.
• Lead a team of technicians to execute maintenance tasks according to project specifications.
• Inspect surfaces to identify defects, cracks, or structural issues requiring repair.
• Prepare surfaces for grouting by cleaning, leveling, and applying bonding agents.
• Mix and apply grout materials to ensure durable and seamless repairs.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
• Train junior team members in proper grouting and repair techniques.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in grouting, concrete repair, and surface restoration techniques.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Problem-solving skills to address repair challenges effectively.
• Physical stamina and dexterity for manual labor in demanding environments.

Education & Experience

• ITI certification or equivalent in a relevant trade (e.g., masonry, construction).
• 3-5 years of experience in construction maintenance, grouting, or repair roles.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or chargehand position is preferred.
