Chief Operator – Oil & Gas Industry

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Operator to oversee drilling and stimulation operations in the Oil & Gas sector. Based in Muscat, Oman, this full-time role requires leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on experience in managing complex field operations. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in drilling/stimulation leadership and a strong background in operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily drilling and stimulation operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and field teams to optimize operational workflows.
• Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and review operational reports, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Train and mentor junior operators to enhance team productivity and safety standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with project goals and timelines.
• Implement best practices for cost reduction and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Proven expertise in drilling and stimulation operations within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Proficiency in operational software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Education & Experience:

• Graduation or Diploma in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in drilling/stimulation leadership roles.
• Certifications in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) are a plus.
