Choke Supervisor - Oil & Gas Operations

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Choke Supervisor to oversee critical operations in the Oil & Gas sector. This full-time role is based in Muscat, Oman and requires 5-10 years of hands-on experience in supervision within the industry. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient choke management, operational safety, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage choke operations to optimize well performance and production efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Monitor and adjust choke settings to maintain optimal flow rates and pressure levels.
• Coordinate with engineers, field operators, and maintenance teams for seamless operations.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of choke equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues, implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of choke operations.
• Train and mentor junior staff on choke operation protocols and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education & Certification

• Graduation or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant certifications in Oil & Gas operations or safety (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are a plus.

Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in Oil & Gas operations, with a focus on choke supervision.
• Proven track record in managing wellhead and choke systems.
• Hands-on experience with pressure control equipment and flow assurance.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of choke valves, wellhead equipment, and production systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and schematics.
• Familiarity with industry software for monitoring and reporting.

Soft Skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

This role is based in Wadi Kabir, Muscat, Oman, and requires on-site presence in the Oil & Gas field. The position involves working in challenging conditions, including exposure to extreme weather, noise, and hazardous materials. Candidates must adhere to strict safety protocols and wear protective gear.
