Key Responsibilities
As a Civil Engineer (NDRC) in our Construction department, you will be responsible for:
- Planning, designing, and overseeing construction projects in the Oil & Gas sector
- Preparing detailed NDRC (Non-Destructive & Remedial Construction) project reports and documentation
- Conducting site investigations and analyzing data (maps, reports, tests, drawings)
- Ensuring projects meet legal requirements, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations
- Managing budgets and project resources efficiently
- Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals
- Solving technical problems and providing innovative solutions to construction challenges
- Supervising and mentoring junior engineering staff
- Using specialist design and construction software (AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, etc.)
- Ensuring quality control throughout all project phases
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
- Advanced certifications in NDRC or related construction methodologies preferred
Experience:
- 5-10 years of professional experience in civil engineering, specifically in Oil & Gas construction
- Proven track record with NDRC (Non-Destructive & Remedial Construction) techniques
- Experience working on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with Middle East/Oil & Gas construction standards
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in civil engineering design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro)
- Strong knowledge of construction codes and regulations in the UAE
- Understanding of NDRC methodologies and best practices
- Project management skills and familiarity with PM software
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
