Civil / Structural Supervisors – Oil & Gas Construction

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Civil / Structural Supervisors to oversee construction projects in the Oil & Gas industry based in Abu Dhabi. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring 5-10 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably within the energy sector. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations, manage subcontractors, and maintain quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities for civil and structural works, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
• Monitor subcontractors and laborers to maintain safety, efficiency, and quality standards.
• Inspect materials, workmanship, and installations to confirm compliance with engineering drawings and industry regulations.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and clients to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare daily progress reports, including manpower allocation, equipment usage, and work completion status.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct toolbox talks to mitigate risks on-site.
• Assist in quality control and testing of concrete, steel, and other construction materials.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:

• Graduation or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in civil and structural supervision, preferably in Oil & Gas or heavy construction projects.
• Familiarity with international construction standards (API, ASTM, ACI, AISC).
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies for foundations, steel structures, and concrete works.
• Experience with quality control inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT).
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.
