Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all civil and structural engineering activities for oil and gas construction projects in the Al Murabba district and surrounding areas
• Develop comprehensive structural designs, calculations, and specifications for industrial facilities including processing plants, pipelines, and storage terminals
• Oversee construction supervision, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables
• Perform structural analysis and design for foundations, steel structures, concrete buildings, and offshore platforms
• Review and approve technical documents, drawings, and material specifications from contractors and vendors
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to monitor construction progress and identify potential issues
• Implement quality control procedures and ensure all work meets international standards and company requirements
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for civil engineering activities
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and professional development support
• Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and permits
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for senior management

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E Civil) from an accredited institution
• Advanced degree or professional certifications in structural engineering preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent international certification highly desirable

Required Experience

• Minimum 5-10 years of progressive experience in civil and structural engineering within the oil and gas industry
• Proven track record in leading major construction projects from design phase through commissioning
• Extensive knowledge of international codes and standards including ACI, AISC, API, and ISO regulations
• Demonstrated expertise in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or ETABS
• Strong background in project management methodologies and construction management principles

Technical Skills

• Expertise in structural design for industrial facilities including steel structures, concrete foundations, and piping supports
• Proficiency in construction techniques, materials, and methods specific to oil and gas infrastructure
• Advanced knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and foundation design
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software and BIM technologies for structural engineering
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction
