Civil Supervisor – Oil & Gas Construction (Full-Time)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to oversee construction projects in the Oil & Gas industry based in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate will ensure that civil engineering tasks are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on supervision of construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities, including earthworks, grading, concrete works, and structural installations.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, API, ASME).
• Monitor subcontractors and laborers to maintain productivity and quality benchmarks.
• Inspect construction sites daily to identify and mitigate potential hazards or delays.
• Prepare and submit daily progress reports, including manpower allocation and material consumption.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Manage equipment and material logistics to prevent shortages or wastage.
• Train and mentor junior staff to improve team efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience in supervising civil construction projects, preferably in Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office (Excel, Word, Project).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Education & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in civil supervision, with at least 3 years in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Certifications in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are a plus.
