About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Coating Inspector to join our dynamic team in Kuwait City. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in coating inspection within the Facility Management and Maintenance Services industry, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This role involves overseeing coating applications, conducting inspections, and maintaining quality control on various projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed coating inspections on surfaces, structures, and equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Evaluate coating materials, application methods, and environmental conditions to ensure optimal performance.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions.
- Monitor surface preparation, coating application, and curing processes to prevent defects.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) and other diagnostic evaluations to assess coating integrity.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all inspection activities.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior inspectors and field personnel.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new coating technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
Required Skills
- Proven experience in coating inspection (5-10 years) within Facility Management or Maintenance Services.
- Strong knowledge of coating materials, application techniques, and industry standards (e.g., NACE, SSPC, ISO).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
Education & Certifications
- Diploma or Graduation in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline).
- Certification from recognized industry bodies (e.g., NACE CIP Level 2 or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Additional training in safety standards (OSHA, NEBOSH) is a plus.
