About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Coating Inspector to join our Quality Control (QA/QC) team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and ensuring the proper application of protective coatings on industrial structures, pipelines, and equipment in the Oil & Gas Construction sector. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with industry standards, preventing corrosion, and ensuring long-term structural integrity.

Key Responsibilities

As a Coating Inspector, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Perform thorough inspections of surface preparation, coating application, and curing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, such as NACE, SSPC, and ISO.
  • Conduct adhesion tests, dry film thickness (DFT) measurements, and holiday detection.
  • Document inspection results and generate detailed reports for stakeholders.
  • Identify defects or non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure quality control.
  • Monitor environmental conditions (humidity, temperature) affecting coating application.
  • Review material specifications and verify coating suitability for project requirements.
  • Train junior inspectors and site personnel on best coating practices.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Coating Inspector in Oil & Gas Construction.
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC standards (NACE, SSPC, ISO).
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools (e.g., DFT gauges, adhesion testers).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and coating specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and report-writing abilities.

Education & Certifications

  • Diploma or Graduation in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • NACE Coating Inspector Certification (preferred).
  • Additional certifications in QA/QC or corrosion control are a plus.

Work Environment

  • Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site (no remote work).
  • Location: Diriyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
  • May require travel to project sites within Saudi Arabia.
  • Exposure to outdoor and industrial worksites with strict safety protocols.
