Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Compressor Mechanic (Air Conditioner) to join our Service and Maintenance team in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, particularly in servicing and repairing air conditioning compressors. Job Responsibilities

As a Compressor Mechanic (Air Conditioner), your primary duties will include:

• Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining air conditioning compressors in commercial and residential settings.
• Performing routine inspections to identify mechanical or electrical issues in HVAC systems.
• Replacing faulty components such as valves, pistons, cylinders, and bearings.
• Testing system performance using specialized tools like pressure gauges and multimeters.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting guidance to clients.
• Keeping detailed records of maintenance work and parts inventory.
• Collaborating with team members to complete service requests efficiently.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: ITI certification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or a related field.
• Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in compressor maintenance or HVAC repair.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults in AC compressors.
  • Knowledge of refrigerant handling and recovery procedures.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and electrical schematics.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.
  • Effective communication with clients and team members.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be advantageous:

• Experience working with industrial-grade HVAC systems.
• Certification in refrigerant handling (e.g., EPA 608).
• Familiarity with Facilities Management protocols.

Working Conditions
