Construction Manager (Mechanical)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager (Mechanical) to oversee and manage mechanical construction projects in Kuwait City for the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, project management, and leadership in construction environments. This role requires hands-on experience in managing teams, budgets, and timelines while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise mechanical construction projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure all mechanical installations comply with engineering designs, safety standards, and client specifications.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources efficiently.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Resolve technical and operational issues promptly.
- Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to Oil & Gas industry regulations and environmental policies.
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing strict safety protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in mechanical construction methodologies and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas/Petrochemical equipment and installations.
- Experience with AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar project management tools.
- Familiarity with industry codes (ASME, API, ASTM).
Managerial Skills
- Proven leadership in managing construction teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in mechanical construction management, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
Job Location
This position is based in Kuwait City, Kuwait, specifically in the Al Asimah (Capital Governorate) area. The role requires on-site presence and is not remote.
