Key Responsibilities
The Construction Manager will be responsible for leading all phases of construction projects, from planning to execution. Key duties include:
- Overseeing all construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards
- Managing project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
- Coordinating with engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution
- Implementing and enforcing strict safety protocols in accordance with UAE regulations
- Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality
- Preparing and submitting progress reports to senior management
- Resolving any construction-related issues or delays promptly
- Ensuring all work complies with environmental regulations and sustainability practices
- Managing procurement of materials and equipment
- Leading and mentoring construction teams to achieve project goals
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in construction management within the Oil & Gas industry
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent budget management and cost control skills
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera, MS Project, etc.)
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Familiarity with UAE construction codes and safety standards
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Professional certification (PMP, CCM, or equivalent) preferred
- Valid UAE driving license
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA)
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years in construction management roles
- At least 3 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects
- Proven track record of managing projects worth AED 50M+
- Experience working with international contractors and consultants
Work Environment
