Construction Superintendent - Mechanical

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent - Mechanical to oversee and manage mechanical construction projects in the Oil & Gas Construction industry. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, construction supervision, and project management. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment in Muscat, Oman.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all mechanical construction activities on-site.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Manage and lead a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Review and approve mechanical designs, drawings, and blueprints.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budget.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
• Resolve technical issues and provide solutions to construction challenges.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety records.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace hazards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in the Oil & Gas Construction sector.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale mechanical construction projects.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, HVAC, and industrial equipment installation.
• Experience with construction management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project).
• Familiarity with international construction codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI).
