Key Responsibilities

As our Continental Cook, you will be responsible for various essential kitchen functions:

Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Prepare authentic continental dishes including Italian, French, and Mediterranean cuisine
  • Execute multi-cuisine cooking techniques with precision and consistency
  • Manage station mise en place and ensure proper preparation of all ingredients
  • Cook and plate dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Monitor food quality throughout preparation and serving processes

Kitchen Operations

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen stations and equipment
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation and ordering
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations
  • Participate in menu development and recipe standardization

Quality Control

  • Maintain consistent taste, texture, and appearance of all continental dishes
  • Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished products
  • Implement and maintain portion control standards
  • Address customer feedback and continuously improve food quality

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Graduation or Diploma in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts required
  • 3-5 years of professional experience as a Continental Cook or similar role
  • Proven experience in multi-cuisine cooking and international food preparation
  • Experience working in high-volume kitchen environments preferred
  • Background in five-star hotels or premium restaurants is advantageous

Technical Skills

  • Expert knowledge of continental cooking techniques and methods
  • Proficiency in preparing sauces, stocks, and foundational culinary elements
  • Strong knife skills and food preparation capabilities
  • Knowledge of international culinary trends and fusion cuisine
