Key Responsibilities

As a Control Panel Technician at TeamPro, you will play a critical role in our production and quality assurance processes. Your primary duties will include:

• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to assemble control panels accurately.
• Performing all aspects of control panel wiring, including routing, terminating, and bundling wires neatly and according to specifications.
• Conducting rigorous testing and inspection of completed panels using multimeters, megohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to ensure functionality and safety.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing wiring issues, component failures, and circuit problems efficiently.
• Installing various electrical components such as PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), relays, transformers, circuit breakers, terminal blocks, and switches.
• Ensuring all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality control procedures.
• Collaborating with engineers and designers to provide feedback on panel designs for improved manufacturability.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the panel shop.
• Documenting all assembly and testing procedures for quality records and future reference.
• Assisting with the commissioning of panels on-site at client facilities when required.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this Control Panel Technician role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

Education & Experience

• A Graduation degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience specifically in control panel wiring, assembly, and testing.
• Experience working in the electronics manufacturing or industrial automation sector is highly preferred.

Essential Technical Skills

• Expert proficiency in control panel wiring and the ability to work with various wire gauges and types.
• Strong ability to read and decipher complex electrical schematics and layout drawings.
• Hands-on experience with testing equipment like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and HIPOT testers.
• Solid understanding of electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, UL).
• Familiarity with industrial components including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and motor control centers.
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems is a plus.
