Job Description: Certified Control Valve Specialist (Oil & Gas)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Control Valve Specialist to join our Oil & Gas maintenance team in Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, calibration, repair, and maintenance of control valves to ensure optimal performance in high-pressure industrial environments. This role requires hands-on expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform control valve calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance in compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and inspections to identify valve malfunctions or inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize valve performance in Oil & Gas systems.
• Document maintenance procedures, reports, and safety checks for regulatory compliance.
• Install, repair, and replace control valves, actuators, and related components.
• Ensure all work adheres to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines.
• Provide technical support and training to junior staff as needed.

Requirements

Education & Certification

• Graduation or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Certification in Control Valve Maintenance & Calibration (e.g., ISA, NACE, or equivalent).

Experience & Skills

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in control valve maintenance within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proficiency in reading technical schematics, P&IDs, and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of valve types (globe, ball, butterfly, etc.) and their applications.
• Experience with calibration tools, pressure testing, and leak detection.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Work Environment

This is an on-site role based in Jaber Al Ahmad, Kuwait City. The position involves working in industrial facilities, including exposure to high-pressure systems, loud noise, and varying temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
