Location: Jaber Al Ahmad, Kuwait City, Al Asimah (Capital Governorate), Kuwait

Job Type: Full Time

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Valve Technician to join our Oil & Gas maintenance team in Kuwait City. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in valve assembly, testing, and troubleshooting within the industrial or energy sector. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, disassemble, and maintain control valves in accordance with industry standards.
  • Perform diagnostic testing and calibration of control valves to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty valve systems to minimize operational downtime.
  • Conduct pressure tests, leak checks, and functional evaluations.
  • Collaborate with engineers and maintenance teams to improve system reliability.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and testing reports.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and company policies.
  • Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic control systems as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in valve assembly, testing, and maintenance within Oil & Gas or similar industries.
  • Proficiency in reading technical schematics and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of valve mechanics, actuators, and control systems.
  • Ability to operate testing equipment (e.g., pressure gauges, flow meters).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for diagnosing mechanical failures.
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards (e.g., OSHA, API).
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Valve Repair or Maintenance from recognized institutions.
  • Experience with Fisher, Masoneilan, or other major valve brands.
  • Knowledge of PLC-based control systems is a plus.
  • Prior work experience in Kuwait or the Gulf region.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on, full-time position based in Kuwait City. Candidates should be prepared for:

  • Working in industrial settings (refineries, pipelines, or processing plants).
  • Occasional exposure to high-pressure systems and hazardous materials.
  • Lifting heavy equipment (up to 25 kg) and standing for extended periods.
  • Adhering to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements at all times.
