Job Description: Coordinator SWH (Safe Work Handling)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Coordinator SWH (Safe Work Handling) to join our dynamic Operations team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This full-time role is critical in ensuring compliance with safety protocols and efficient work handling within the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in coordinating safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of Safe Work Handling (SWH) procedures on-site.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for high-risk operations.
• Liaise between operations teams, contractors, and safety personnel to ensure seamless workflow.
• Prepare and review permits-to-work (PTW), job safety analyses (JSA), and other safety documentation.
• Monitor work environments to identify potential hazards and enforce corrective actions.
• Organize safety training sessions for staff and contractors on safe work handling practices.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with management to improve safety policies and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Graduation/Diploma in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry.
• Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is a plus.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Safe Work Handling (SWH) practices and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in preparing permits-to-work (PTW) and job safety analyses (JSA).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
• Familiarity with OSHA, ISO, and other industry safety standards.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
