Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator (100 Tonnes) to join our construction team in Doha, Qatar. This is a full-time position based in Madinat Khalifa North, requiring 3-5 years of hands-on experience in safe crane operation. The ideal candidate will hold an ITI certification and be proficient in handling heavy lifting equipment in demanding construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a 100-tonne crane safely and efficiently on construction sites.
• Perform pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment functionality and compliance with safety standards.
• Lift, move, and position heavy materials, machinery, or structures as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with ground crews and supervisors to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to schedules.
• Follow operational protocols, load charts, and rigging plans to prevent accidents or equipment damage.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily operations, including load weights, equipment maintenance, and safety checks.
• Report mechanical issues or safety hazards to the maintenance team immediately.
• Adhere to all company policies, Qatar construction regulations, and industry best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education & Certification

• ITI certification or equivalent vocational training in crane operation.
• Valid crane operator license/certification (region-specific requirements considered).

Experience

• 3-5 years of proven experience operating 100-tonne cranes in construction or industrial settings.
• Familiarity with load dynamics, rigging techniques, and signal communication.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in safe crane operation and OSHA-compliant practices.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, load charts, and rigging diagrams.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues.

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

This role involves:

• On-site work in Madinat Khalifa North, Doha, Qatar (no remote options).
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat.
• Physical demands such as climbing ladders, sitting for extended periods, and operating controls.
• Standard construction site hazards requiring strict adherence to PPE protocols.
