Key Responsibilities
The CT Operator – Driller will be responsible for overseeing drilling operations while ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency. Key duties include:
- Operate and maintain coiled tubing (CT) drilling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Supervise rigging and construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor drilling parameters such as pressure, torque, and flow rates to optimize performance.
- Coordinate with engineers and field personnel to troubleshoot operational issues.
- Conduct pre-job inspections and post-job maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
- Train and mentor junior crew members on best practices.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of drilling operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as a CT Operator or Driller in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proficiency in rigging and construction techniques, with a strong safety mindset.
- Technical knowledge of coiled tubing operations and equipment.
- Ability to interpret drilling data and adjust operations accordingly.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Diploma or degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Work Environment
This role is based in Wadi Kabir, Muscat, Oman, and involves working in demanding field conditions. The job requires:
