Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced DCS Mechanic to join our Operations team in Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) in our Oil & Gas facilities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the smooth operation of critical control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repairs on DCS equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineers and operators to optimize control system performance.
• Ensure compliance with industry safety and regulatory standards.
• Document maintenance activities, system changes, and incidents.
• Provide technical support and training to junior technicians.
• Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades where necessary.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new DCS systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in DCS (Distributed Control Systems) operation and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of PLC systems and industrial automation.
• Experience with instrumentation and control loops in Oil & Gas environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
• Knowledge of safety protocols such as HAZOP and SIL.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience

• Doctorate in Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with DCS systems in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Certification in DCS or industrial control systems is a plus.

Work Environment

This role is based in Kuwait City and requires on-site presence at our Oil & Gas facilities. The position involves exposure to industrial settings, and adherence to strict safety guidelines is mandatory.

Remote Work: Not available for this position.
