Diesel Mechanics – Full-Time Role in Muscat, Oman

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Transport/Logistics team in Al Ghubrah, Muscat, Oman. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of 5-8 LPA. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of hands-on experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance, along with an ITI certification or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines, including trucks, buses, and heavy equipment.
  • Inspect vehicles for defects and malfunctions using diagnostic tools and manual checks.
  • Replace or repair faulty components such as fuel injectors, turbochargers, brakes, and exhaust systems.
  • Conduct routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service history.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in diesel-powered vehicles.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency.
  • Provide recommendations for preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Certification

  • ITI certification in Diesel Mechanics or a related field.
  • Additional vocational training in diesel engine repair is a plus.

Experience & Skills

  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy equipment and work in varying conditions.
  • Basic computer skills for maintaining digital service records.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Familiarity with Oman’s automotive safety and environmental regulations.

This is an on-site position based in Al Ghubrah, Muscat, Oman. The role may require occasional overtime, weekend shifts, or emergency call-outs.
