Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller (FG01703) to join our Project Management team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in managing safety documentation within the Oil & Gas industry. This role ensures the accurate handling, distribution, and storage of critical project documents while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Management: Organize, file, and maintain all project-related documents (drawings, reports, contracts) in both physical and digital formats.
- Quality Control: Verify document accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and industry standards.
- Distribution: Ensure timely delivery of documents to internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Safety Documentation: Manage safety records, permits, and compliance paperwork, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Version Control: Track revisions and updates to prevent discrepancies in document versions.
- Database Maintenance: Update and manage electronic document management systems (EDMS) for efficient retrieval.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on document status, approvals, and pending actions.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing requested documents and logs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in document control software (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, Documentum).
- Strong understanding of Oil & Gas industry standards (ISO 9001, OSHA, API).
- Experience with safety documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling large volumes of data.
Education & Experience:
- Graduation or Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Document Controller in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Familiarity with UAE/Abu Dhabi regulatory requirements is a plus.
