Draftsman (Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Industry)

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Draftsman with expertise in AutoCAD, P&ID, and layout design to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. This role is crucial for supporting our Oil & Gas / Petrochemical projects, ensuring accurate technical drawings and schematics for service and maintenance operations.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in drafting within the petrochemical or industrial sector, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Draftsman, you will be responsible for the following:

• Create and maintain detailed technical drawings and blueprints using AutoCAD.
• Develop P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) and process flow diagrams.
• Prepare accurate layouts for piping, equipment, and structural components.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate design concepts into precise drawings.
• Review and modify drawings based on project requirements and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company protocols.
• Assist in drafting documentation for project submissions and approvals.
• Maintain organized records of drawings and revisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
• Experience in P&ID development and process schematics.
• Strong understanding of petrochemical layouts, piping systems, and mechanical components.
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches and specifications.
• Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ANSI, API).

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Draftsman in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
• Prior experience with industrial plant layouts is highly desirable.
