As a Duct Fabricator at TeamPro, you will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate materials, and operating specialized machinery to fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork for various ventilation and air conditioning systems. Key Responsibilities & Duties

As our dedicated Duct Fabricator, your day-to-day tasks will be diverse and critical to our project success. You will be an integral part of our on-site and workshop teams.

• Read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and workshop drawings to understand project specifications and layout requirements for sheet metal ductwork.
• Measure, mark, and cut sheet metal to precise dimensions using hand tools, electric shears, saws, and plasma cutters, ensuring minimal material waste.
• Operate fabrication machinery such as brakes, rollers, and seamers to bend, form, and shape metal into specified ducts, fittings, and components.
• Assemble fabricated parts by welding, bolting, riveting, or soldering, ensuring all joints are secure, airtight, and meet industry standards.
• Install fabricated ductwork systems on construction sites, coordinating with other trades to ensure proper integration with HVAC and building structures.
• Perform quality inspections on finished products, checking for defects, proper dimensions, and overall workmanship before installation.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and best practices for workshop and site operations to maintain a zero-accident environment.
• Maintain and service fabrication tools and equipment, reporting any malfunctions or needs for replacement to the supervising foreman.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members to troubleshoot issues and ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Keep accurate records of materials used, time spent on tasks, and work completed for project tracking and billing purposes.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

To be successful in this Duct Fabricator role, you will need a combination of formal education, practical skills, and relevant industry experience.

Education & Certification

• A Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, Sheet Metal Work, or a related vocational field is required.
• Certification in welding (e.g., AWS) or sheet metal fabrication is a significant advantage.
• Valid safety training certificates (e.g., OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour) are highly desirable.

Essential Experience & Skills

• A minimum of 3-5 years of proven professional experience in duct fabrication within the construction or HVAC industry.
• Expert proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Advanced hands-on skills in using all tools of the trade, including hand tools, power tools, and heavy fabrication machinery (press brakes, rollers, spot welders).
• Strong knowledge of different types of sheet metal (galvanized steel, aluminum, stainless steel) and their properties.
• In-depth understanding of fabrication techniques, including welding, soldering, riveting, and grooving.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing precise, high-quality work.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions on a construction site.
