Detailed Job Responsibilities

As a Ductman at ASMACS, you will be an integral part of our construction and maintenance team. Your primary focus will be on the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal ducts and fittings for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Your expertise will ensure that all ductwork meets precise specifications and adheres to the highest industry standards.

Core Duct Installation and Fabrication Duties

• Measure, cut, bend, shape, and assemble sheet metal components to create ductwork according to technical drawings and blueprints.
• Install, connect, and secure duct sections, elbows, transitions, and other fittings within commercial and residential buildings.
• Utilize specialized tools and equipment, including shears, brakes, rollers, soldering irons, and welding apparatus, with precision and safety.
• Inspect and test installed duct systems for leaks, proper alignment, and structural integrity using appropriate methods.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and modifications on existing duct systems to improve efficiency and functionality.
• Collaborate closely with HVAC technicians, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure seamless project integration.
• Read and interpret complex schematic diagrams, plans, and specifications to determine layout and installation requirements.
