Electrical Engineer - Overhead Lines

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer - Overhead Lines to join our dynamic team in Kuwait City. This role is critical to our operations in the Oil & Gas industry, focusing on the design, installation, and maintenance of overhead electrical lines. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in electrical installations and a strong background in overhead power distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the installation of overhead electrical lines for power distribution systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new and existing overhead line projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil engineers and project managers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of overhead electrical infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement corrective measures promptly.
• Prepare detailed project reports, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Graduation or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 5-10 years of hands-on experience in electrical installations, specifically in overhead lines.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Oil & Gas sector and its electrical infrastructure requirements.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, electrical design tools, and project management methodologies.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in the Middle East, particularly in Kuwait.
• Familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards.
• Certification in electrical safety or project management (e.g., PMP, OSHA).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Jibla, Kuwait City. The role requires occasional travel to project sites and may involve working in outdoor conditions. Safety is a top priority, and all employees are expected to adhere to strict safety protocols.
