Electrical Technician (Full-Time)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our maintenance team in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within the electronics industry. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems, performing routine inspections, and resolving technical issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in compliance with safety standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using testing devices and hand tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex electrical issues.
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Assist in upgrading and optimizing electrical systems for improved efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

• ITI Certification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in the electronics industry.
• Proven expertise in electrical installations, wiring, and maintenance.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Familiarity with PLC systems is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good communication skills for reporting and collaboration.

Working Conditions

• This is a full-time, on-site position in Muscat, Oman (no remote work).
• Work may involve standing for long periods, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces.
• Must be available for occasional overtime or emergency call-outs as needed.
