Key Responsibilities & Duties
As an Electrical Technician within the real estate sector, your primary focus will be on maintaining the integrity and functionality of all electrical systems. Your daily duties will encompass a wide range of technical tasks.
Installation & Maintenance
- Execute and oversee the complete lifecycle of electrical installations in residential and commercial properties, including wiring, control systems, lighting, and power outlets.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical panels, circuit breakers, transformers, and switchgear to prevent system failures and ensure uninterrupted power supply.
- Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions, faults, and breakdowns promptly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maintaining safety standards.
Inspection & Compliance
- Conduct thorough inspections of existing electrical infrastructure to assess condition, identify potential hazards, and ensure compliance with Omani electrical codes and international safety regulations (e.g., IEC standards).
- Read and interpret architectural blueprints, circuit diagrams, and technical schematics to plan and execute installation projects accurately.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance work, repairs, and inspections for compliance and auditing purposes.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with the facilities management and engineering departments to coordinate electrical work and support broader project goals.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and other on-site staff.
- Manage inventory of electrical supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability for all scheduled and emergency tasks.
Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Certification
- A Graduation/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Technology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- Relevant professional certifications or licenses demonstrating proficiency in electrical systems and safety protocols are highly desirable.
Experience & Technical Skills
- A minimum of 5-10 yearsElectrical Technician, specifically with electrical installations, within the real estate, construction, or a related heavy industry.
- Expert knowledge of electrical theory, principles, and practices applicable to power distribution, lighting systems, and building management systems.
- Proficiency in using a wide array of electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, voltage testers, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot complex electrical circuits and systems methodically and safely.
