Job Description

H.R. International, a leading player in the Oil & Gas and Engineering & Construction sector, is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our Electrical Maintenance team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is ideal for individuals with 1-3 years of hands-on experience in electrical systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair within industrial environments.

As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of electrical equipment and systems at our facility. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining safety standards, reducing downtime, and optimizing the performance of critical electrical infrastructure in the Oil & Gas industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems at the facility
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and components
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing equipment
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement electrical system improvements
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and implement corrective actions promptly
• Assist in the commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems
• Follow lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures for safe equipment maintenance

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Diploma or Graduation in Electrical Engineering or related technical field

Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician in industrial settings
• Prior experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or related industries preferred
• Familiarity with industrial electrical systems (415V and below)

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in installing and maintaining motors, transformers, switchgear, and control systems
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices
• Ability to use multimeters, meggers, and other electrical testing equipment
• Understanding of PLC systems and instrumentation (basic level)
• Knowledge of NEC, IEC, or other relevant electrical codes

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good communication skills (English proficiency required, Arabic a plus)
• Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency call-outs

Work Environment

This position requires on-site presence at our facility in Al Batha, Riyadh. The work environment includes:

• Industrial plant setting with exposure to machinery and equipment
• Requirement to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Potential exposure to high voltage systems
• Occasional work at heights or in confined spaces
• Shift work may be required based on operational needs
