Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our Electrical Maintenance team in the Oil & Gas / Engineering & Construction industry. Based in Doha, Qatar, the successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring 3-5 years of hands-on experience in electrical installations and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in compliance with local and international safety standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform repairs to ensure minimal downtime in operations.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to complete maintenance and installation projects.
• Ensure all electrical work adheres to safety protocols and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Diagnose issues using testing devices and replace or repair faulty components.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and installations.
• Train and mentor junior electricians as required.
• Work in compliance with Oil & Gas industry regulations and environmental guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Education & Certifications

• ITI Certification in Electrical or equivalent qualification.
• Additional certifications in electrical safety (preferred).
• Valid Qatari driving license (advantageous).

Preferred Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in the Oil & Gas or Construction sector.
• Familiarity with high-voltage systems and industrial electrical equipment.
• Experience working with electrical systems in hazardous environments.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position requires:

• Working in industrial settings, including outdoor and confined spaces.
• Exposure to high-voltage systems and potential electrical hazards.
• Standing, bending, and lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
• Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Adherence to strict safety guidelines and procedures.
