This full-time role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within the Oil & Gas and Engineering & Construction sectors. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems using testing devices to identify hazards or needed repairs.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems in industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for installations.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with local and international electrical codes and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
- Operate specialized tools and equipment for electrical installations and repairs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in wiring, circuit installations, and electrical repairs.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience with testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, voltage testers).
- Problem-solving skills for diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.
Education & Experience:
- Graduation/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an Electrician Technician, preferably in the Oil & Gas or construction industry.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, NFPA) are a plus.
