Job Overview
NSH (Nasser S. Al Hajri Corporation) is seeking a highly skilled HSE Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within our Oil & Gas projects. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in HSE, particularly in conducting risk assessments and implementing safety protocols in high-risk environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety concerns.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
- Lead safety training programs for employees and contractors to promote a strong safety culture.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Monitor and audit workplace conditions to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate HSE requirements into project planning and execution.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of HSE records, permits, and certifications.
- Provide technical guidance on emergency response planning and environmental protection measures.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure all legal requirements are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are highly desirable.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in HSE roles within the Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction sectors.
- Proven track record in conducting risk assessments and implementing safety management systems.
- Familiarity with HSE software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in incident investigation techniques (e.g., Root Cause Analysis).
- Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
