Job Responsibilities

The Instrument Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of instrumentation and control systems. Key responsibilities include:

• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repairs of instrumentation systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in control systems, sensors, transmitters, and other field instruments.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., API, ANSI, ISA).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new instrumentation systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in instrument maintenance, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proficiency in calibrating and maintaining field instruments (e.g., pressure gauges, flow meters, control valves).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ISA, ANSI, and API.
• Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications in instrumentation or control systems (e.g., ISA Certified Control Systems Technician).
• Experience with hazardous area classifications (ATEX, IECEx).
• Familiarity with SAP or other CMMS software.

This role is based in Kuwait City, Kuwait, and requires on-site presence at our facility in Jaber Al Ahmad. The work environment includes:
