Job Description: Engineer QA/QC (Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Industry)

Job Type: Full Time | Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE | Salary Range: 10-15 LPA

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineer QA/QC to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical sector. This full-time position is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and requires a candidate with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and QA audits. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and maintaining the highest quality benchmarks in our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control inspections on materials, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) using methods such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant testing.
  • Lead and participate in QA audits to assess compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Document and report inspection findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection reports and test certificates.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems.
  • Monitor supplier and subcontractor quality performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior QA/QC personnel.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and best practices in QA/QC for Oil & Gas.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications in NDT Level II or higher are highly preferred.
  • Additional certifications in QA/QC (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) will be an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in QA/QC Engineering within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
  • Proven expertise in NDT methods (UT, RT, MPI, LPT).
  • Experience conducting QA audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, etc.).

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and inspection techniques.
  • Proficiency in using NDT equipment and interpreting test results.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and P&IDs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Work Environment

This position is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and requires on-site presence. The role may involve occasional travel to project sites or supplier locations. Candidates must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment with strict adherence to safety and quality protocols.
