Job Overview

Mahindra Aerospace is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineer/Sr. Engineer – NC Programmer to join our dynamic Engineering team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs using CATIA for precision manufacturing processes. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality production standards in the aerospace and manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC programs using CATIA for machining complex aerospace components.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of parts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Perform simulations and validations of CNC programs to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain documentation for all CNC programs, including revisions and updates.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance programming processes and reduce cycle times.
• Train and mentor junior programmers as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in CNC Programming using CATIA V5 or later versions.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and fixturing.
• Experience with multi-axis machining and aerospace component manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T standards.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Education & Experience:

• Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related fields.
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in CNC Programming within a manufacturing environment.
• Prior exposure to aerospace or precision engineering industries is a plus.
