Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to join our Engineering Department in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in welding processes, inspection, and quality control, specifically in the Oil & Gas sector. This role involves overseeing welding operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and optimizing fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement welding procedures in compliance with industry standards (ASME, API, AWS).
• Supervise welding operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Conduct welding inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) to verify structural integrity.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams to optimize welding techniques and minimize defects.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure welding feasibility.
• Maintain welding documentation, including WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) and PQR (Procedure Qualification Records).
• Train and mentor junior welders and technicians on best practices.
• Troubleshoot welding defects and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and third-party inspectors for project approvals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:

• Graduation or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or a related field.
• Certification in Welding Inspection (e.g., CSWIP, CWI, or equivalent) preferred.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in welding engineering within the Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction industry.
• Proficiency in welding techniques (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW) and metallurgy.
• Familiarity with NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT).

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of welding codes (ASME Section IX, API 1104, AWS D1.1).
• Experience with welding simulation software is a plus.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and ISO standards.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
